An exceptional stay from start to finish. The attentive staff made us feel right at home, and our spotlessly clean room featured stunning views over Inya Lake. The location couldn't be betterāconveniently situated right next to a major plaza and great dining options. Breakfast was a highlight, offering a fantastic spread of both local dishes and international favorites. Highly recommended!
The hotel staff were warm, friendly, and made us feel very welcome throughout our stay, which we truly appreciated. However, the breakfast at the restaurant was quite disappointing. The selection was limited and the quality did not meet expectations. Additionally, the restaurant staff could benefit from more training in how they interact with guests, as the service did not feel as attentive or polished as it could be. Overall, while the hospitality was great, the dining experience was a letdown.
The staff at check in were really nice and the room was very clean when we entered. However that is the only positives of this property. We stayed for two nights and on the second night we tried to order room service but the phones were not working. So I walk down to the lobby and speak with hotel staff about the issue and they told me they are currently upgrading their phone system. Staff at check in did not mention this and I feel they should have. What if there is an emergency and they are trying or need to call the rooms how would we know we are trying to be reached if phones donāt work. The staff offered to send someone up to take our order for room service so I go back to my room ended up waiting 20 minutes and no one arrived to take order. Go back downstairs I speak to the staff and Iām irritated they apologize and say someone will be there shortly by this point I donāt want to spend anymore money at this property so I declined and all they could do was say sorry. I will not stay at any Melia property ever again. Word of advice stay at a Pan Pacific or Novotel they are way better then this chain hotel that says they are 4.5 star when they are actually 2.5 stars
I have had the opportunity to visit the Melia Hotel in Yangon on various occasions over the years. I consider it my second home, where I always feel clean, safe, and conveniently located within walking distance of Myanmar Plaza, where you can find quick dining and shopping options.
The staff is exceptionally friendly, kind, and helpful in every aspect of their service.
I highly recommend the Melia Hotel to both business and leisure travelers. A visit there will not disappoint.
I would love to give some feedback about Malia Hotel . First of all , the room looks great and all the staff members are so friendly. Secondly, I was late on my arrival due to my flight. I was supposed to check in on 11 but I wasnāt arriving until 12 but still their manager said no problem, she just move my arrival time and everything is so smoothly and nice .
Stayed there on May 14 2026 at room 2025. Excellent Room service. They even did room service in the evening when I went out for dinner. They refilled all the stuff that I used. Afternoon high tea and evening drink and snacks mini buffet at 24 floors is excellent view, service and good food.
