"This Hotel commands the centre of Ghent and make you feel like the lord of the manor as you walk in through the ornate doors and up the gothic spiral staircases until you reach your beautifully appointed room. "We loved this hotel located on a quiet street very close to the central train station. The room was spacious with beautiful, warm lighting and a small refrigerator and a fine and clean bathroom. The staff were uniformly excellent; welcoming and friendly and helpful. Of special note, Virginie, of the front desk staff, was exceptional- warm and exceedingly helpful with directions and recommendations; truly appreciated and enjoyed. "loved the breakfast. The hotel is historic art deco architecture and it's in a residential neighborhood with more interesting architecture. It's a nice neighborhood to walk around, but it's a pretty long walk to any restaurants and the city center. We did that walk - in pouring rain! - but we like to walk. Friendly staff and friendly fellow guests at the breakfast buffet. "

"Very good hotel in the heart of Ghent. The staff were very hyelpful, the newly updated room was very comfortable. Location perfect on edge of the historic centre. Room comfotable and spacious, great shower and bathroom. Very good tea and coffee. Nice to have had a sofa in the room and small table. Parking under the hotel is convenient and safe. Breakfast was perfect, a buffet with everything you would hope for."

"Close to the centre of Gent with a tram stop directly outside to take you to the train station, or a 20 minute walk. Beds comfy, rooms clean and warm ,shower hot, good for the price. Cafés nearby if going out for breakfast. Other guests were noisy late one evening but this was quickly resolved by the night staff. The walls are a little thin. I have stayed here before some years ago and would stay again. "
