"The Hotel Winters is my FAVORITE. It's gorgeously appointed, beautifully lit and designed with the kind of intentional spaciousness that smacks of historical estates. So many lovely extras - from lobby elevators whose doors always stand open, to fresh iced tea and lemon water always at the ready. Dog and people friendly - because the staff is warm and friendly and so helpful!! Don't sleep on the Hotel Winters! "

"We stayed here because it's not far from my family's house, so that made it very convienent for us. It's not close to very much except the freeway, so walking is probably not recommended, and nearby food options are limited. But for our situation, it was great. It gave us refuge from the chaos of the holiday, and was a quiet, comfortable stay. When I asked for extra pillows, they were very accomodating. This is the second or third time we've stayed here, and we've never had any issues."

"The Sonesta looks a lot better in pictures than it did in real life. In real life, it's kind of shabby. It's like economy lodging with a few nice touches but can't escape its origins. There was florescent lighting in the bathroom, a hole in the bathroom ceiling that looked like maybe someone had cut an opening for a new light but never got around to installing it.
