I’ve stayed at this Hyatt House a few times before and always recommended it to family, but after this visit, that’s definitely changed.
When I checked in, I mentioned my service dog and everything went smoothly. That night my family and I had drinks at the bar and hung out in that area with my service dog, no issues and it was the same guy that check me in.
Breakfast had a lot of options, but so many items were empty. I asked for the fruit and hard-boiled eggs to be refilled, and they did, but when I went back around 9:30, everything was empty again. When I politely asked for more fruit, the woman working the kitchen area flat-out told me no.
That night, the manager came over and told us we couldn’t have my dog by the bar. I explained she’s a service dog and that we’d been there the night before with no problem, he didn’t care. I felt so uncomfortable that we just went back up to our room.
The next morning, when I went to check out, that same manager ignored me for about 10 minutes while making drinks for a friend at the bar. No acknowledgment at all. I left to load my car, came back to finally check out, and he was still behind the bar ignoring guests while a line was forming at the front desk.
This hotel used to have such a great vibe and friendly staff, but that’s clearly changed. The new manager needs serious training, or maybe a new job.
