"Obviously could do with an upgrade as rooms are quite dated. However nice spot with patio doors onto the lake and everything that was needed in the room inc ceiling fan which was helpful. Breakfast ok however burger at dinner was awful."

"The venue was spacious and tidy, and the staff were super friendly and welcoming. My first impressions were great and the room was faultless - big, comfy, great level of amenities. Pool was free to use as a overnight guest (family swim until 6pm). Good enough location with the nearest 2 towns about 18 minutes away (Braintree or Colchester). You have converted a repeat customer in me for sure"

"The hotel was set in a nice, quiet location with lovely views. The room was a good size, plenty of room and tea/coffee making facilities. The decor in the room was very tasteful and the bathroom was really spacious. Very clean accommodation. The room was cleaned daily. We didnโt eat at the hotel so cannot comment on the food. Lovely seating area outside. Ample parking. Only downside was the bed and pillows which were far too soft for us but obviously that is just down to personal taste. All in all a very enjoyable 3 day break and will definitely be staying again ."

"Very helpful staff. Food in restaurant very good. The whole place is clean and there are bouncy castles in the garden for children. They take blue light cards for food. The major disappointment is that the bar and main building shuts at 10pm promptly. Thus no more drinks even for residents and you canโt even sit in the building which is locked. Thus you either sit in the garden or go to your room. Sadly there is nowhere nearby to get a drink etc. crazy beating in kind we were there for Friday and Saturday."
