"Lovely place, but the mattress in room 34 badly needs replacing-very uncomfortable-the one closest to the door. Love the gardens and the little beach and Sarah the innkeeper. Also, plastic chairs on balcony need replacing with sturdier ones."

"The hotel itself is fairly run-down, but the staff were wonderful and the location was incredible. The breakfast, coffee and water area was surprisingly well done, especially given the overall condition of the property. The hotel is also pet-friendly, and the front desk staff were exceptional. The hiking trail behind the property was an unexpected delight. That said, as a woman traveling alone, I would not feel comfortable staying here by myself. There appeared to be several employees or long-term residents staying in the back section of the hotel, and people lingering around that area made me uneasy. The doors and windows also did not feel particularly secure."
