"So glad I booked this place! It felt home away from home for this solo traveler. You had the privacy of your own studio but could go into the home and feel welcomed. Breakfast was such a fun experience with the food and other guests. Fresh coffee, fresh orange juice and freshly cut up fruit were my favorite! Beds were comfortable, slept good. "Gorgeous view and location. Was unaware that the restaurant was closed due to flooding which was inconvenient as when we booked it said that the restaurant was still operational. Everything was a bit run down but clean and smelled great. Shower appeared to be a bit dirty around the edges and sink took a while to drain and toilet didn't flush well. "Characterful period building, with a sumptuous and grand feel to the public areas. Can't fault the olde worlde atmosphere it creates. Our room (classic room) had been recently renovated with colourful wallpaper and carpet and was very clean and smart, if a little on the chintzy side (eg.,the over-large glass chandelier hanging from the ceiling).
