"Stayed here for one night due to a flight cancellation. The hotel was undergoing renovations so there were parts inside taped off. The front desk staff was very friendly and the room was unique and stylish. The air conditioner worked GREAT and was a blessing on a hot, humid day. The bed/pillows/duvet were soft and comfortable. "The hotel reminds me of the Overlook Hotel in The Shining with the old carpet, elevator and accents. That being said, the room and bathroom are charming on their own. During our stay, our AC unfortunately broke down at 11:30 PM. The staff happily moved us from 3rd to 10th flr and it was the best room!!! It had 2 windows and more real estate. Staff were excellent. The neighborhood is so quiet and a perfect mix of tourists and locals. Food from Nice Matin was delicious (get the package if you can). i would rebook this hotel again next time I’m in NYC. "
