I was deeply disappointed with this hotel, expecting Hilton brand quality. I stay at four-star properties or higher, but this fell far short despite renovation claims.
Arrival: entrance reeked of cigarette smoke near staff—no greetings, luggage help, or guidance. Lobby staff stood around, inattentive.
Room was outdated and unclean. Shower floor so worn/dirty I avoided stepping on it. Towels damaged, no hair dryer. Room change (36th to 43rd floor) brought similar issues plus constant elevator noise day/night—like objects rolling overhead—ruining sleep.
Endured full prepaid stay for our anniversary. Front desk insisted hair dryer was under sink (no storage there), requiring delivery to both rooms.
Staff admitted only lobby/front desk/restaurant renovated—rooms not updated. Pre-arrival snow-related email requested microwave; they agreed, omitting fees. Checkout deducted daily charges from deposit—poor transparency.
Housekeeping polite, but front desk unprofessional, uninformed on rooms, lacking coordination. Ruined our NY trip.
Cannot recommend as-is. Hope Hilton/management improve rooms and training.
