"This was my third stay since my first visit in 2014 from Canada. Have never forgotten the beauty of the setting and cozy atmosphere. Particularly enjoyed our ground floor room with the conservatory which gives you direct access to the outdoors. The walk across the field to Hawes is always fun. Great staff, food delicious."

Staff were great, Room was good and reasonably comfortable but we fail to see how it qualified to be DeLux. Just little things would make a huge difference, For instance TV was mounted too high on the wall and therefore not comfortable to watch. Lighting was gloomy. The pub itself is gorgeous, decorated beautifully, it is cosy and inviting and located in a lovely spot by the stream.Although the actual car park itself was small this was no problem as we parked literally a couple of minutes away on the lane, perfect as it allowed the opportunity to see a tiny red squirrel busy in a nearby tree.
