"Great hotel, but breakfast could be better We had an enjoyable stay at the Oxford Belfry Hotel & Spa. The hotel was pleasant overall, and the room, cleanliness and staff were all good. We only used the swimming pool in the spa, which we enjoyed, although there weren’t enough loungers available. It seemed that some guests may have reserved them while having treatments, leaving nowhere for others to sit. The main disappointment was breakfast, which wasn’t quite the standard I expected from this type of hotel. The fried eggs looked as though they had been sitting out for hours and were hard, and the breakfast overall was underwhelming. Despite these issues, we had a good stay and would consider returning, although the spa seating and breakfast could definitely be improved."

"Great little guest house a couple of mile outside the city centre. Easy accessible on numerous buses in about 10 minutes. Friendly staff and rooms well maintained with tea/coffee & towels refreshed every couple days. Lots of shops, bars & restaurants within easy walking distance on Headington high St. Would highly recommend to those visiting Oxford and not want to pay city ctr prices."

"Breakfast wasn’t good value for money. No fresh fruit unless ordered as your main. Getting around the hotel if you’re looking to use lifts a bit confusing. Bed was really comfy and room temperature easily adjusted. Food was nice. All in all enjoyed my stay."

"Such a lovely spot. We had some things come up with our arrival and departure and they offered to keep our luggage secure. Rooms are so cozy and homey, such a quiet and cute location. Loved the walkability to C.S. Lewis’s house and nature preserve and church. Staff were super helpful and kind—would definitely stay here again!"

"The Angel is situated in the historic and picturesque village of Long Crendon in Buckinghamshire. The building is centuries old which is reflected in the architecture. I had a very comfortable room and a bed that allowed a really good sleep. There were plenty of dining options within a short drive. I took a walk into the village which presented some wonderfully thatched cottages and buildings. Breakfast was really tasty with ingredients that were obviously locally sourced. I would look to stay here in the future."
