"This property is in need of a refresh. The location near the harbor is nice, but the hotel is quite dated and shabby. There is a strong smell of deoderizer throughout. We were offered a room with a pullout couch and when we arrived, it was a rollaway cot that was clearly decades old. We checked out."

"We picked a city view delux room but were given a view of the parking lot and trash cans. The trash trucks came to empty the bins every morning around 5am, waking us all up. I was not happy. "

"Stayed here for a work conference. Beautiful, historical hotel that offered comfort and convenience. Even with having the majority of the conference within the hotel it was comfortable, spacious and easy to navigate. Being situated in such a great area made for easy access to explore the city in downtime. The food served was good and with a good variety. Staff was helpful and knowledgeable when providing assistance. Enjoyed my time staying here. "

"Beautifully appointed hotel. Service was great and staff were friendly. Our 1 bedroom suite was large and comfortable and was cleaned everyday. There's wine, cheese and crackers at the library area next to the lobby from 5-6 pm nightly, which was nice. There's a complimentary breakfast basket, containing a rotating offering of egg/cheese biscuit or coffee cake/scone with fresh fruit during our 5 day stay. We dined at the in house restaurant once and food there was excellent."

"I almost don’t want to share this hidden gem. Even though this hotel is small, it has everything you need for a great stay at affordable price. Our room was clean and spacious. Our shower broke and they immediately replaced a new shower head. Beautiful courtyard where my husband watched a game while we sat having drinks by the fireplace and listening to a live steel drum singer. The staff was polite and location couldn’t have been better. We will definitely be staying again. The only con is the small size of the pool which felt like bath water. Otherwise, we had a perfect stay at the Ryder Hotel."
