Such wonderful hospitality from the owner herself! She said she loved what she does and it shows. The facility is one of the nicest we have ever stayed in. It is very nicely furnished. Quiet! Nothing was done cheaply in this motel. We loved it and the price was one of the most reasonable in the area.

The room was comfy with a nice interior design and stylish utilities. The motel’s owner/staff was very friendly. We forgot about our things in the fridge and were able to get them back after checking out. Definitely perfect for vacation!

Hi Steph,Sincere apologies about that, you should have told me and I would have personally gone and clean it for you straight away. We only had 1 cleaning staff and myself rostered on Monday therefore we had 16 rooms to clean on Monday. Apologies about the inconvenience that have caused.Kind RegardsRainbow

This was a wonderful place to stay! Nice sized rooms. So many little things-even a little dishwasher! You could stay here nicely for a longer stay. Wanaka is beautiful! Pleasant staff.

Our one bedroom apartment at The West Meadows motel was exceptional with brand, new modern furniture and top-of-the-line appliances. There was a separate bedroom with a very comfortable king size bed, and television in the bedroom. There was a second television in a large comfortable living space that also included a stereo system for music. We stayed on the second floor, and even though there are no elevators, there is a separate parking lot upstairs so that you can simply wheel your luggage into your bedroom. The shower could benefit from replacement of the showerhead as the water spray could not be directed and was spread too widely but otherwise we had no complaints. The laundry on the grounds was clean and worked well. The motel is located on a major road so we slept with the windows closed and it was quiet. it is a short drive to downtown. We would highly recommend this motel and Wānaka.

The rooms were very clean and spacious, with plenty of amenities to use. Rainbow was absolutely wonderful and so helpful! Would definitely reccomend this accomodation to anyone wanting to stay in Wanaka.

Don't have room with connecting door
Bottom line is always "would I stay here again" and unfortunately the answer is no which is a real pity because in almost all respects this hotel was first class. It was spotlessly clean, had great kitchen facilities (including space to store stuff), comfortable bed, lovely shower room with rain shower. The views from both bathroom and balcony were fabulous. At this point we were wishing we'd booked for more than one night. Then people arrived in the next door apartment (to which there was a locked connecting door) and it immediately became clear that there was no sound insulation at all through the door. You could hear everything they did and said. You could hear whole conversations. Presumably they could hear us too which didn't encourage relaxation. To be honest there was the same sound insulation as in a tent. Now if they could guarantee a room without connecting door I may consider staying again, but without that guarantee never again.

This hotel was like a dream! The service was phenomenal, when we were late in checking in, coming from the airport, Matt waited for us after us to check us in personally. The hotel has a fantastic placement with a view of Wanaka lake and amazing mountain ranges. It takes the same amount of time to travel to Treble Cone and Cardrona from the hotel (about 30 mins). You can go to the Wanaka lake area for breakfast but there is also an excellent place nearby to have dinner with woodfired pizza. Everyday coming back from the mountains exhausted, we would find our room completely clean with all the tea/coffee/cookies renewed, fresh towels and newly made beds. We will definitely come back next winter!

Wanaka contemporary hotel
Must be almost brand new. Contemporary, well stocked kitchenette and room. We liked being away from the crowds downtown. Wonderful view of mountains from room.

The property and motel room were in great condition and seemed like new. Very handy location and staff were friendly and accommodating. Considering this was a motel, it was way better than some of the hotels we stayed in on our trip of the South Island.

Nice and clean. Pretty and serene surrounding. Close to lake and activities.. very helpful person at the reception, helped me plan my hikes and things around Wanaka.. The only minor thing is there's no laundry within the room but it's minor. Overall, very happy and will visit again!

Everything was just perfect here. Though it is located slightly off town centre but the extra bit of travel is completely worthwhile. Room was beautiful and well kept. Good quality furniture and utilities as well. Special arrangements was also made for late check-in that went smoothly. All in all a comfortable stay for us!

The unit was in an excellent condition and very well maintained. Daily servicing of the unit was also fantastic. Staff was friendly and easy to deal with. Will stay here again if we visit Wanaka again.
