"The room is small, given the price. The bathroom is small (though the shower is decent enough) with no space to place the toiletries or to hang hand towel. The difference has never been apparent when we move to another hotel for the rest of our stay in Porto. More space, more amenities for about the same price."

"We only ate at the hotel in tbr evenings. It was two days befote we realised there was suplementary menu for evenings. We were in room 604. This neccessitated travelling from reception to the lifts to get to our room. Its painted black, its dark and poorly lit. Other guests referred to it as the dungeon. The bar area was cold people were sat eating and drinking with coats on. The large electric kept opening. The view from our room was greatacross to the cathedral and bishops palace. Ythe location in the middle of old town is great. When out of an eveni g we felt safe. Staff were friendly and helpful. Parts of the original palace were still visible. "

"Was able to check in early. Porto was celebrating the fc Porto championship in the streets and I didn’t hear any noise in my room."

"Upon arrival, the staff were very helpful and friendly. The rooms were very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The shower was excellent, probably the best I’ve experienced in a hotel. Would definitely recommend and stay there again."

"Overall hotel was nice and great location but when we first arrived the room we were given stank of cigarette smoke. They swapped it straight away and did apologise but that room shouldn’t have been given to anyone in its condition. Also the pool was closed which was information not available before we travelled and the hotel was undergoing some loud renovations during our stay which we were only informed of in the email the day before check-in. And at least one coffee machine at breakfast would have some issue you’d need to get the staff to attend to. So no ‘big’ issues but a lot of small things not done great. Overall was fine but not the standard you’d expect for a higher end hotel."
