The property was in a fantastic location to access all the parts of Porto I wanted to easily. Lots of bars and restaurants nearby. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the room clean. It was lovely to come back on the Saturday evening to find chocolate eggs in my room wishing me a nice Easter. A thoughtful gesture. As a single female travelling I felt safe in the hotel and around the area. Would definitely stay again

We found this hotel wax in a perfect location for sightseeing around Porto. Staff was friendly and the hotel was clean and quiet. Having breakfast available gave is a great start to our day! Definitely will recommend to family or friends visiting your beautiful city.

The location is excellent. The hotel itself is lovely. The front desk staff are friendly and very helpful. Our corner room was very nice with a sitting room and windows that opened onto the square. The breakfast buffet was very good. This is the 2nd time we have stayed at the A.S. 1829 and we will come back again.

Front desk staff was very helpful with logistics and recommendations. Good breakfast. City view room was great over-looking the courtyard with nightly musicians. I didn’t mind but might be something to ask a guest in advance of securing those rooms. A/C was inconsistent. Room was warm to sleep

The hotel is in a good location within walking distance to many historic places, restaurants, and train station. The restaurant right next door is lively. The room was well equipped, clean, and there was a small balcony to sit outside with drinks. Our room didn't have the roadside view.
