"The hotel was great. Lovely helpful staff. Great location in San Marco and right next to gondola service. Only downside was a hard bed but this was promptly sorted out when mentioned to the staff. Definitely 5/5."

"The best thing is it’s just besides train station, just 2 minutes walk so although it’s far from Venice Island but in 30 minutes you can reach Venezia St. Lucia. The property was kept clean, spacious and breakfast was good. The hotel looks like very old and they have some old furnishings which need repair. Overall it needs some refurbishment to look like a modern hotel. They took credit card information as a security guarantee which was strange and faced first time in any hotel in Europe, even Italy but that’s fine as that might have been brought as per their bad experiences with guests in past. There are no good restaurants nearby as it’s bit far from city so need to keep this in mind while booking. Overall ambience at the hotel was good, wouldn’t say excellent but it’s good value for money if you compare with other hotels in Venice."

"We loved the location. In a hidden away area just a quick walk to Saint Mark's Square. Felt safe even at evenings walking to hotel area, and enjoyed the great shops & restaurant selection nearby. Clean, charming room. Top deck was wonderful for drinks. Would highly recommend."

"Stayed here for a leisure trip with friends and family and highly recommend to others! Will certainly stay here again! It is easy to get to/from via vaporetto and very modern. Staff was awesome, on-site restaurants were superb, breakfast buffet was outstanding! rooms were very clean and bed was comfortable. I recommend all guests head straight for the Gelato bar!!"

"Hotel is very convenient from Rialto Mercato dock. Older hotel (no elevator). But very clean, safe, friendly staff. Rooms are spacious with a good working A/C"

"Great breakfast and very comfortable bed. The room was clean and quiet for sleeping. We were in the annex building which had quite a few stairs to access so would not recommend for anyone with mobility issues."

"Good location. It was very nice getting a complementary drink as soon as we arrived to check in. Staff was very helpful and helped us arrange a private taxi to get to the airport."

"First day there, no hot water for shower. Had choice to take a shower in another room or pack up everything and take another room. We did the latter which was a big waste of time. Find out they knew of the problem prior day yet they still gave us the room. Location was ideal. Breakfast was first class. Check shower before you unpack."
Hotel Plaza Venice

"Nice rooms. Located very close to the Trian station and why I booked this location. However, the location of the hotel is in a run down area of the city. Lots of homeless. Dirty streets. Didn't feel too safe at night walking around. There is a Chinese restaurant nearby that was fantastic. I would book the location again due to the location right across from the train station. We took that to Venice island and to Florence. Parking is a block away and wasn't really guarded. Be careful walking from that location at night."
