"Clean grounds and room. Pretty basic but keeps the 1960’s road trip vibe. Staff is very nice and helpful. Pool is very retro cool with mid-century style furniture. Only thing I really disliked was charging $11 for parking in an open motel lot, and every hotel in LA thinks this is ok to do…and it is not, at least to me, paying $200+ for a room that has less amenities than a Motel 6. Not much around it as far as restaurants and stores unless you want to put on your hiking shoes and walk 1/2 mile or more. No iron or ironing board, no cups, so bring your own. No hair dryer and just a basic sink with no space to set things. Anyways, its in a great spot, close to a lot of cool things, so if you want to walk on the wild side, make a atop for the night here and pretend its the family station wagon pulling up in 1961 on vacation. Not much has changed on the exterior and it is very cool visually. "

The service was excellent, the hotel staff was always very friendly and kind, the hotel always looks clean, and every room I stayed in was playing a different movie in the pool area, making it very pleasant to spend the night at the hotel. It's a hotel you should choose for your vacation."

"The property was so convenient to universal studios theme park. You have the option of shuttle service to and from the hotel but it is absolutely walkable as well. Nice restaurant for breakfast, really easy and convenient parking, the gym facility is quite nice and had a bit more equipment that a lot of hotels I've stayed at. Everyone was very helpful and kind. Checking in was extremely fast and easy, as was checking out. If you do have a car, yo uare bale to keep it there until 6pm even when check out is at 11, which is also get convenient. We didn't have a single issue during our staym "
