This was my 2nd time to stay at this hotel. On both occasions I stayed for 6 nights. The rooms I had were lovely - large, clean and comfortable.
Most staff I encountered were extremely friendly and efficient. I appreciated being greeted when returning each evening.
I intended to give a 5 star review but I changed my mind after my interaction with the receptionist on the last morning. I had gone out for a walk and got delayed when taking a phone call. When I returned I requested an additional 15 mins (this was at 10.40pm) to shower and leave the room. The receptionist was on call, clearly with another staff member and I had to wait 4-5 minutes to talk to her. She said she could only give me 5 minutes extra in the room. The cleaning supervisor knocked my door at 11.03am. I ended up in reception with wet hair, putting on my jewellery and fixing my last few items. It was extremely disappointing that I couldn’t be given this small amount of time. I had had no housekeeping for the 6 days as I am a tidy person and there were sufficient towels and supplies in the room. Therefore I think I am quite a low maintenance guest. The receptionist did credit me the $4 I owed for a croissant when I raised my frustration but this didn’t placate me. I lived in Studio City for many years and will return regularly to visit friends - however I am not sure now I will stay here again.
