"This place is a fantastic find! CLEAN, safe, affordable, amazing location, and the loveliest staff! I would definitely stay again. HOWEVER, this is not a place for light sleepers. Don't get me wrong, it was quiet - everyone is so respectful of each other - but you will hear every door being opened and closed at all hours, every jacket or boot zipper being pulled up or down, every time someone clears their throat. All normal human sounds that you would not notice if they were coming from another room but as you sleep in a 4 walled cabin without ceilings, you are essentially all in the SAME room. Also, if you are a light sleeper, be sure to ask for a room at the "back" away from the noisy main road and high traffic starwell."

"Although the hotel has no front desk, the check-in process was terrific as they sent emails and texts with information on how to gain access to the hotel and the room. Being in the East Village, the rooms are small but they have everything you need for a stay including a nicely stocked kitchenette! Daily housekeeping is available. And they even supply ear plugs (there was street traffic noise mainly during the day) so I slept soundly! Great spot if you want to be in the East Village area. "

"Charming boutique hotel with a modern Scandinavian feel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Nice “personal touches” (e..g., cute stuffed mascot gift, free coffee/tea/soft drinks). Room was small but comfortably fit all accommodations. Private balcony was a nice plus and rooftop was great."

"The location is unbeatable, there are so many great food spots and shops within walking distance. The area was really lively and packed with people on the weekend, if you’re into nightlife this is the spot for you. Definitely a younger crowd. I felt really safe walking in the area both in the day and at night. We were on the 5th floor and were able to hear noise from the streets (mostly cars honking at eachother) and the rooms are pretty tiny, but this is NYC so you can’t really complain about that too much. Bathroom inside the room was a plus. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. "
