"Overall it was comfortable and clean. The location is great. The staff are helpful. The only thing not so good is the walls are thin and can hear the neighbours talking on the phone and children crying. There was also noise from the water pipes when guest from other rooms are taking showers or flushing toilets. "

"The best hotel in Hanoi,plain and simple.But there is one thing that needs to be mentioned.On the hotel's room page it says Flexible check-in and check-out time upon availability.But don't think this is Peninsula time at the Peninsula Hotels which you can check-in as early as 8AM and check-out as late as 16PM.Since our flight to Ho Chi Minh City was very late into the night a REAL flexible check-out was very important.Because we had used Peninsula Time before, we naively thought that we could be flexible in Capella, which is known for its luxury.Turns out their check-in and check-out policies are no different from regular hotels：upon available and pay to guarantee.The hotel did offer to let us stay in the living room as long as we wanted.And the kind staffs constantly offered us free sweets and mocktails.However since we had already checked out we just didn't feel comfortable eating and drinking for free.So we just sat there for three hours with some water and final decided we just head to the airport to see if we can get on an early flight.To be clear.Normal check-in and check-out times is fine and we are totally OK with it.Just if your check-in and check-out times are no different from regular hotels, there’s no point in mention “Flexible” on the website as if it’s a selling point, right?"

")Our family (mum, dad, boys 11 and 13) stayed here three times as we dipped in and out of Hanoi to travel to other locations.
Firstly the rooms, beds and all amenities were a delight. It’s a lovely quiet and comfortable location in the old town of Hanoi. Breakfast is fabulous. Lots of fresh and delicious variety and good coffee.
The hero’s of the hotel are the staff especially those front of hotel. With all of our in and out the team we’re incredibly accommodating, thoughtful, and generous. They supplied us with a take away breakfast when we left really early. They welcomed our returns like friends. They made sure we had access to showers before we had to travel home- after a sweaty and fun day out and about in Hanoi. The team were also super helpful with advice on food and drink places and taking care of our belongings while we were away.
We highly recommend Royal Palace Hotel for all people travelling in and through Hanoi. Exceptional.
