"You get what you pay for... or so I thought, until I was talking to fellow travellers. They were raging about the cost of this budget hotel. I thought it was reasonably priced. It is basic, no frills, no vending machine, nowhere to put your clothes except a peg on the wall or a bench. That said, the bed was comfortable and there was a fan in the room. "We liked best the central location in High Street. So easy to walk to the shopping centres and restaurants/ bakeries all close by. Also easy to walk to the Tudor House, an attraction that I enjoyed visiting. It's value for money. "Beautiful location on the Southampton waterfront and close to several museums, restaurants and shops. The hotel was very nice but the shower was not very hot and turned cold during a shower. The restaurant was nice but very expensive. Nearby restaurants were much better."
