"We booked this property as the picture on website looked nice. It said we would share bathroom only with people in our party, this was booked as non-refundable. We only book properties with en-suite usually but as said it would only be shared with our party. Once booking came through I checked the postcode and found that the property was down a private road which you could not view on google maps. "Very impressive site, looks like a mansion from exterior, . The entrance is very impressive too, very clean and reception is well located with very friendly helpful staff. My room was very large with very good facilities , overlooking a garden courtyard. Lovely room. My only two concerns were that it was close to a gravel car park and the noise of the gravel in the car wheels was a bit loud at times, bearing in mind that this is also a golf club.. and the other was that the fridge was very load but I overcame that by unplugging it as I wasn't using it. And turned it back on before leaving the room on check out day... The restaurant was very nice and the food was excellent as was the the waiters and waitresses. Overall had a great stay"

"Enjoyed our few days at the hotel. Nice rooms with very comfortable bed. Good facilities in the room but no safe. Breakfast was good - pretty standard. Pastries were not great - pain-au-chocolat and croissants were disappointing. We had a couple of meals in the bar. The burgers were not good. Tasted like very processed meat. Pizza was good. Service in the evening in the bar was a bit hit and miss. One evening, the server was busy chatting to another guest so never got to serve us. Grounds are excellent and the golf course is a nice challenge."

"Hotel is centrally located on the main market square. Don’t use their car park as it will cost you £15. I paid £7.80 to park on the square till 12 noon following day. Free or cheaper if you leave earlier. But my main gripe was that they could not provide me with any à la carte breakfast items even off the buffet. All I wanted was 1x egg on toast and a cup of coffee. I told the staff that due to recent weightloss surgery I couldn’t physically eat any more to warrant paying £12 for the full breakfast buffet."

"Loved the children’s free ice or fruit . Children’s play area at breakfast. Dog friendly. Loved the warm pool and hot tub. I’m diabetic and had a low blood sugar. The man at the pool helped me . The lady at the bar read the list of about 15 favourers of ice cream . She was lovely. We had stay for funeral in the area . Would stay again"
