"Beautiful property. Well maintained. Appreciated the nature walk and yoga sessions. The thermal pool was great. However very poor value for money. The Sri Lankan food was bland and the food left much to be desired for. Although the food was well presented the flavours were lacking. No menus options, very limited juice options, most things are chargeable. Nothing was really offered. Staff responded to requests but had to ask for everything. Was disappointed. "

"It is a lovely property ans breakfaat spread is quite large. Staff are friendly byt could be better trained on small nuances. The last who checked us in vaguely indicated the direction of the room and we spent 10 minuted walki g up and down searching for it. When we asked for a la carte food options other than the I.suan restaurant they have, ot took me 20 minutes to get the front desk to admit that a la carte foid could be ordered at tje lounge bar as well. "This is more than hundred years old hotel and that is one of the reason I like this place. The hotel is well maintained. Old polished floors and wall fittings are still there. Yet my room had a nice modern bathroom. Everyone who made my stay comfortable were kind, friendly and ready to help. Thank you to all of them."

"The building looks lovely and the grounds are beautiful BUT the room wasn’t great , the bathroom had an old shower curtain and the shower was above the bath. The bed was uncomfortable and the room was small and dark. it was my birthday and there was no mention of this even though my husband had given advanced information.
