"Location is great with easy access to the promenade, Gaia and Ribeira. Breakfast buffet was plentiful. Note: The room choice you booked may suddenly not be available upon check-in. As pals traveling together, we reserved a room with two beds. We got only one bed."

"I booked this hotel as a surprise for my husbands birthday and chose it because it had a gym and swimming pool. We made aware when we checked in that the gym was closed for maintenance. There was nothing about this on the website when I booked. It was supposed to open during our stay, but it didn’t. Very disappointing. The rooms were quite big but surprised that we had to pay 4euros for a bottle of water! There was a lot of choice at breakfast but the cooked items under lights were cold. You could have freshly cooked eggs which was quite nice. The staff were all friendly and helpful. I wouldn’t say it was 5 star - 4 star at the most."

"The hotel has a great location but there are things they could improve that would make the experience better. The mattress was hard and the pillows soft, I could feel the springs. The room is clean but on the smaller side. There is no complimentary milk or water in the room. And charging $1 storage fee per suitcase makes no sense. "
