"The hotel is in a fantastic location. The view of the lake is ideal. The staff were very helpful and the restaurant is top notch. We stayed one night after visiting Milford Sound. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. We would recommend this hotel to anyone who needs a place in the area."

"This place is SO cool! Kim, the manager on duty when we were there, was incredibly friendly and accommodating. We stayed one night in the music room and one night in the train car. Our friend stayed in the bus and the wagon. The train car blew my mind! It was spacious, with a great shower/bath, and just felt so unique. The lodge itself is beautiful. Breakfast is good and the library is a great place to chill, have a beer or coffee, and read. If you pass through Te Anu, definitely stay here!"
