The hotel is a bit dated but well maintained. The location is not the best. There is not a lot of activities in the immediate neighborhood, but with 7 minutes walk to major boulevard, you can catch buses to just about anywhere in the city. MRT (subway) station is a lit farther, about 12-15 minutes walk. The staff are very courteous and helpful. The room is clean and quite. Breakfast is decent. Overall, I am satisfied with this hotel.
large rooms, good hot breakfast, good location. Only drawback is the hotel does not have laundry service, nor any on site self service machines. There is a laundromat about 5 min walk but the laundromat was dirty, not air conditioned and half of the machines were out of order. The hotel should seriously add a washing machine and a dryer on site as that would be a huge convenience for the guest.
The room was clean, big, and well air conditioned which is a big help after being in the humid weather outside. I enjoyed how there was a bathtub and a rainfall shower.
The breakfast is on the traditional Taiwanese side which was fine with me, but I wish the dishes were warmer.
The hotel is located next to a few bus stops that can take you to a lot of places like the Taipei Main Station and is a short walk from a 7/11.
Overall really happy with my stay and would stay again!
Oh and they leave you goodies in your room each day :)
Spacious and clean room for our family of 4. Wonderful breakfast with good variety. Staff was very kind and hospitable. Short walk to bus stops. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Taipei.
The room is very clean , well organized , the staff responds immediately to meet the needs of the guests, also very respectful They even have snacks delivered to guests room
I booked this room for a friend as we were both attending a wedding. So this is his review: I loved the room. It was a great size for one or two people. I liked that I could walk through the closet to access the room or the bathroom. The hot water was always ready. I had a nice view of the front. My room was hot as the hotel's air conditioning was not working, but it didn't affect my ability to sleep.
Stupendous service and friendly staff, I had a wonderful stay at the Waikoloa (even calling a taxi, they would have the drivers park their taxis under a car port and wait...very considerate.
In general the hotel is good and comfortable, the staff is very friendly and professional.
The breakfast, little variety of food and very little fruit (only one option)

The room was exceptionally clean and surprisingly spacious. We received a complimentary basket of crackers and bananas every day, which was a thoughtful touch. The water pressure was excellent, the environment was very quiet, and the blackout curtains blocked out all the light perfectly.
Breakfast was very traditional Taiwanese, which may be a plus or downside 😅 depending on your preferences.
The location, it’s about a 10-minute walk from the MRT station.
Overall, we had a wonderful stay at the Waikoloa and would definitely come back!
rooms are large, breakfast buffet is good. Not a lot of amenities in the hotel (no gym, no laundry, no seating area in lobby, small business center). But if you value a large room, this is a good deal.
The room was large enough, quiet and was kept clean and tidy every day. The amount and heat of hot water in the bathroom were perfectly acceptable, and felt relaxing during my stay. I was very happy to have the flag of my country on my desk! Thank you very much.
Clean comfortable accommodation, in need of an update (cracks in glaze of handbasin, some wood in wet areas (bottom of bathroom door fram) in need of repair
Teamaking facilities in room, but only tea and coffee provided (no milk or sugar) reception staff said they only provide the coffee and tea
Otherwise, very happy with our stay and would not hesitate to use again
Staff were very friendly and helpful
Nice mid city hotel. Convenient to East Erie’s, transport and quick access to airport fly away. / elevated hwy. Hotel has valet parking, not a giant lot but very suitable for visitors. Rooms were large, and well insulated which makes a big difference when Taipei drops to 12c. 2 elevators were quick and soaker tub was a big enhancement when temps dropped
Friend group. I was apprehensive about staying cuz it's not my caliber of hotel. But, I was pleasantly surprised. Quality and value match. It had an older feel but everything was so clean. They gave me 6 water bottles which was great. Easy to get around.

I've stayed her 5-6 times before. Rooms are big, albeit decorated in older style. Hotel is probably decades old, but well mainatained and clean. Breakfast selection is good. No gym, business center (they have a tiny room on lobby floor that doesn't have a door so it can be noisy), no seating area in lobby. But you care more about the actual room, this is a good value.

The property seems dated but well maintained. Room is clean and spacious. Stuff are courteous and helpful. Location is safe, but not the most convenient. About 5 minutes walk to the main boulevard where you can catch buses and MRT. The included breakfast has both western-styled and traditional Chinese selections which I enjoyed. In my opinion, it is a good value in this area.
I have stayed at this hotel before and have always enjoyed my stay. This one particular time, I was annoyed because the air conditioner was not working in the whole buidling and I feel that they should have informed me when I checked in. Instead, I was in my room for about 2 hours when I realized it was not getting any cooler in the room. So, I called the front desk and they told me that the A/C was broken and they could bring me a fan. The fan did help a lot. I understand that these things happen and they couldn't prevent the situation especially when Taipei was experiencing a heatwave but it was not fun. The manager saw my Expedia check-in feedback and responded to my message. After speaking with him, he was able to help me feel more comfortable in the hotel and even offered my friend who was checking in later an early check in. I'm not sure if the A/C was ever fixed but by the end of my stay, I was comfortable.
Usually, when I stay here, the staff, the room, and the hotel condition are all great. Nothing was different this time, except for the temperature in the room.
