The bar closes for guests at 10 PM. Friends of the bartender are served after 10 normally. The staff in the restaurant was very unfriendly, simmilar to Rozske border control staff. I would expect a different behaviour at the hotel, where a family pays 150 E per night.

Clean, new, nice view, family friendly, close to the city centre and the river side. As for parking you have to pay and reserve your spot in the hotel parking otherwise you have to park in the street and its free of charge after 8 or 6 pm i cant remember exactly. The minibar was empty , they dont use plastic water bottles so you should buy your own water bottle from the supermarket. I highly recommend this hotel. The staff speak english . Clean rooms and bathrooms and spacious.

Nice Hotel. No gym
I loved it but I regret using the hotels app. The reason we booked Novotel was because the gym was elegantly advertised. When we got there they told us the gym has been closed for 2 years. I felt deceived and unhappy with my stay because having a gym or any type of equipment is critical for any hotel I choose. I trusted Hotels.com to help out and it failed to deliver

I always stay here when visiting Szeged and have always had a good experience. However this time I wasn’t too impressed with their bedding which looked tired and in dire need of a revamp. I thought it was plain white until the morning when I saw a pale awfully faded brown stripe on it . Surely your bedding can look a whole lot better .

Staff are very friendly. Rooms spotless. Beds extremely comfy. All have balconies. Lovely terraces. Despite it being fully booked. You don't feel it at all. Kids fun corner. Relaxing lobby.

The good: Nice, spacious and comfy room with a balcony. The bad: Bed pillows were strange and uncomfortable. Toilet tends to get a bit smelly due to having no ventilation. Breakfast with limited choice. Have to queue up at counter for foods and drinks. Limited self serving buffet

Nice hotel close to downtown, not too far from thehighway
Excellent hotel close to downtown (5-10 min walk). Very friendly reception, really helped us providing the last available parking spot. Confortable, spacious room. Covid recommendation followed. Stayed one night on the way to Greece. Nice bakery nearby

Best hotel in Szeged
Situated near Tisa river it'a good walkalble area. Also at 10min from the hotel is Szeged center where you can find a lots of restaurant where you can eat awesome goulas soup.

A young man named Gregor, at reception literally made our day. Picture four tired seniors with no computer skills wondering how to pre-check in for our flight the next day. He did it all for us including printing our boarding passes! What a neat young man. I'd go back in a heart beat because of his attitude. Definitely a neat place to stay.

The rooms are cramped and tiny. Our toiled didn't flush properly and the air was stuck on heat only (not even fan). The beds are cardboard like , it's scary to sit down because it seems like they'd fall apart. I ended up getting a room in another hotel as soon as I saw the rooms in Novotel, Do not recommend.

Breakfast was great with lovely waiters and waitresses. Adam was especially considerate. Air-conditioning worked really well which was very important in this heat. Has easy access by public transport and it's in walking distance of most interesting places. Beautiful view of the town and the river from the rooms.

DIRTY Warn Out Rooms
First of all the Lobby and breakfast areas are lovely and new, breakfast is plentiful with a good variety of dishes. The staff are also friendly and helpful. This is where the positives end. The Wellness is Nonexistent. There is 2 saunas and a home spa for 5 people stuck in a stinky basement, there is no pool or a welcoming area to relax and chill so to call this Wellness is a joke! Now to the rooms: the carpets are filthy, there was a peanut next to the bed left from the previous guest, the carpet was full of crumbs in front of the couch which stayed there for the length of our stay. Our pillows were old, dirty and stained and the pillow case was ripped so I requested clean pillows on our way out to dinner. When we returned we had 2 new pillows but still disgusting, stained pillows in new pillow cases. I called down to reception and the guy stared arguing with me that he doesn't understand what the problem is. I told him I can bring the pillow down and he can tell me if he would sleep on such a disgusting pillow. They sent 2 more pillows up, the guy gave them to me, shrugged his shoulders and left. only 1 pillow was clean, the other just as bad as the others. The next day i asked for new pillows again and finally had 2 clean pillows after the third time asking. This for a 4Star hotel that advertises a Pillow Menu on its website is Unacceptable. If I could I would get my money back for this hotel I would! Huge Disappointment!!!
