"Clean room, stocked with beach and bath towels. Bed and pillows were surprisingly very comfortable allowing for a great night sleep. Bath had a personal jacuzzi tub. Their outdoor jacuzzi along with their spa robes felt like a luxurious experience at the spa. The wife and I bought a wine bottle, and their front desk provided the cork opener and glasses. Breakfast was a homier version of a hotel's continental breakfast. Staff was friendly and offered golf cart rides to the local beach."

"Be aware you cannot easily walk downtown. However uber prices are reasonable. We checked in a little early and had to pay 50 dollars which was disappointing. Rooms were nice and breakfast was good."

"Quiet location providing easy walking to most of the historic and museum sites as well as restaurants aplenty. Charleston provides a downtown area shuttle (DASH) if walking is an issue. Good included breakfast with many options. Friendly staff. The accommodations are not opulent but they're comfortable and enjoyable. The draw is the history of the building and the area. The other guests were all friendly. No one was there with a "one percenter attitude.""

"Amazing staff and service made our son's birthday celebration special and was unexpected as we'd mentioned the trip was for his birthday to our butler upon arrival and he asked what our visit entailed to help with reservations or directions to anything and they sent us a small birthday cake complete with balloons and a note from the hotel, which really surprised and delighted all of us in how they'd gone above and beyond here. "We paid extra for a room with a balcony and we were literally placed in the corner next to the maid closet. So every morning they slam the door open(no fault of theirs it’s just the way the door opens onto their carts as they stock them). Then no balcony. Second floor yet people on street just talking, not shouting sounded as if they were in our room. I paid a lot of money and was nothing but disappointed with this property. I now see why people don’t like to stay here."
