"Clean and quiet hotel. No aircraft noise heard at all. Polite staff. Room 668’s shower left the shower’s tray partly blocked and almost about to spill out on to the tiled floor. Nasty drain smells from the shower was the clue to the problem! Air conditioning system not very affective at all."

"I was able to check in online before I arrived at The Kicking Dickey. The staff were very helpful and friendly along with the pub which I thought was very welcoming. My room was at the rear of the property so away from any noise. The room itself was comfortable and well maintained, I think it might of been a converted stable. Nice functional bathroom with a shower and a very comfortable single bed. Lots of free parking outside the property. All in all well worth a stay."

"Terrible stay. Dirty rooms, Breakfast is non-existent and all continental only. A lot of maintenance workers stay here, so you can imagine the standard. Depressing side of the road lodge. It is not a hotel really, more like a youth hostel!"

"The hotel was good for £58 a night just before flying. The lady behind the desk was absolutely lovely when we checked in. The rooms were clean but they miss out on detailed cleaning but for one night, it isn’t an issue. Room was huge, we walked in and said ‘woah’! Very close to the airport, easy bus services that drop you off just outside the services. Also very close to multi different food places and they had their own separate car park from the services one."

"Beautiful bedroom very large and spacious, as was the en-suite shower room. The bed and bedding were excellent and I had a wonderful nights sleep. The water in the shower was hot and a good pressure. However the flush for the toilet was not working. I would also recommend the owners supply bedside lights as there were none and the main light switch was over by the door. A kettle and teabags/coffee were provided in the room but no milk or water. "We asked hotel to confirm we could have a parking space, they confirmed by email but neglected to mention it would cost £15. Check on was great, friendly person and helpful. Room was nice but metal clothes rack by bed didn’t leave much room and I bashed my knee on drawer knob. Venue was not great for sleep, they had very loud music until 01:15 an we did not sleep well as road was also loud from quite early. Breakfast was ok but staff were everywhere still cleaning up, kept walking past with...

"I wish I’d just paid more to go to a chain hotel. This was terrible, the shower took 10 minutes to warm up by this point the bathroom was already flooded and the water was leaking into the bedroom floor. One of the great benefits was ‘FREE PARKING’ listed on their advert but I was in fact charged for parking for the few hours I was there overnight!!! Conveniently close to the airport but that’s about all that was good about this place."
