If you are in Stansted with a car and have a few hours to kill then I recommend the Freeport Retail Village in Braintree which is a 15min drive away. It is a very underrated outlet centre.

The room was clean and quiet. The only negative is that the shower tray was set incorrectly so when the shower is on the water just pours on to the bathroom floor.

Comfortable mattress. I have a scoliosis and an old and / or low quality mattress causes me back ache. Kings Arms mattress does not leave me with back ace, unlike many other hotel mattresses!

At first the property looked nice. But double bedroom smelt as you walked in the door. Getting into bed the smell of urine in bed wasn't very nice. The oven smoked quite bad when in use.
