If you are in Stansted with a car and have a few hours to kill then I recommend the Freeport Retail Village in Braintree which is a 15min drive away. It is a very underrated outlet centre.






Hampton hotel, does exactly what it says on the tin. Good for a nights stay before an early morning flight. I stayed here Friday night, and it was comfortable! Comfortable mattress. I have a scoliosis and an old and / or low quality mattress causes me back ache. Kings Arms mattress does not leave me with back ace, unlike many other hotel mattresses!
