"Loved our stay in a 2 bed apartment in Braid apartments. Beds so comfortable that I didn’t want to leave ! Great welcome basket with some breakfast items were waiting for us on arrival. 2 bathrooms with showers in each and great heat throughout the apartment. Super place to be based as so close to princes street and main sites. Staff very helpful before arrival and provided information when it was needed. We arrived around 8pm and it was easy to access with the provided code which was emailed...

The hotel has been restored to perfection and we loved feeling like Scotland's rich history and culture had been honored throughout the entire hotel. "A lovely apt to have as a base. Easily walked to bus stops for the hop on hop off buses. Next to Holyrood Palace and Kings Gallery. You might even see protestors at the Scottish Parliament from your window as well as Arthur's seat. Abbey Strand had everything we needed and I would stay longer if I could. They have a wonderful laundry/ common lounge area. "

"The postcode and the attached map on the Expedia website is inaccurate and misleading. It shows the property being nearly opposite the Holyrood parliament buildings. It is in fact right in the heart of the Royal Mile. I wanted somewhere a bit quieter to go to at the end of the day. In fact, the apartment was directly above two pubs and opposite a fringe venue."
