"Elevator didn’t work, we were put on second floor with our puppy and had to walk him up and down the stairs every time we went out. We paid extra for a balcony, but were never told it was shared by neighboring rooms, so our sliding door was accessible by all other rooms, not very private! Very old, run down room, with stained carpet and uncomfortable mattresses. And they didn’t give us any towels, only bath mats and wash cloths. When we asked for 4 towels, for our 4 family members, they acted...

"This hotel is adorable! The mid-century modern style decor is both vintage and modern. The room was well appointed and clean, and the bed was soft! I have saggital arthritis and usually struggle with hotel beds, but this one was pretty good. The restaurant on the top floor was fabulous and classy. Will stay here again!"

"Was travelling on Blue Ridge Parkway and spent the day hiking in the Rock Castle Gorge. Floyd is closest town to the Gorge. Hotel Floyd is amazingly modern and clean hotel in a very small and charming hamlet of VA."
