"Property is older and a bit dated, but staff are very friendly and helpful. We had an unfortunate plumbing issue early in the morning of our last day (due to the early morning hour, no maintenance person was available, but the front desk clerk was quick to get us into a different room quickly). "I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Timberlake Motel, and can see why so many other guests have given this homey accommodation such glowing reviews. The staff were very courteous and welcoming and the room was quiet and well appointed, with a luxurious bed and linens that made for a very pleasant rest. The Timberlake Motel is also conveniently placed with easy access to the downtown historic district or to some of the other landmark areas of Lynchburg, such as the university or shopping mall....

"This is the type of motel that homeless people live in. Smelled very mildewy and was very run down but was visually clean. Okay to sleep in for 8 hours, wouldn't linger any longer."

I also was impressed with the series of "Best of Lynchburg" awards this location has received for multiple years straight. "We visited this weekend for our eldest to check out LU. It was perfect! Great location, clean, affordable, nice breakfast and quiet for sleep. The staff were so friendly and if she decides to attend Liberty, it would be silly for us to stay anywhere else."
