"We rented two rooms at a rate of $222 per night. Both were located in the outer building and were less than favorable. Specifically, the linoleum in the room was cracked and warped from the door to the bathroom. The window lock was broken and wouldn’t properly close. There was a gap under the door that allowed wind and road noise. Lastly, the exhaust fan in the bathroom was very dirty and the molding in the bathroom was broken and missing. I would never stay at this hotel again."

"The A/c didnt work, so we were actually told to sleep with the windows open... the street was very loud. We were offered a breakfast voucher but that didn't mean much when all that was given was cold cereal, and and egg sandwich. Also, sketchy people in the hallways walking up and down making loud noises"

"The room type that I booked was "Sold Out" when I arrived for 3 p.m. Check-in. The front desk person had no idea why. Unfortunately, no manager was available until the next day! Thankfully, she still was able to get me a room for the night, but not the King Suite that I reserved. I cannot recommend this hotel at all. While it is a cool location next to Ships Creek, it is also next to the train station. The trains blast their horns all night long! I'm not exaggerating how loud this hotel is! Between the trains, the super thin walls, and the 20 hours of light- it was impossible to sleep here. The only redeeming factor was the complimentary breakfast with delicious coffee and the super nice "breakfast man.""

"Newer property. Not the pic that’s shown here tho. Very nice inside. Easy check in. There is no staff. Nowhere to put clothes so everything stays in suitcase. Workers in big trucks parked on cement pad near stairs. We had to park in the gritty area most of the time making it hard to roll luggage on, then no doormats so tracked all grit inside. Nice decor. Big tv with electric fireplace. Nice kitchen with banquette seating. Pretty property but still undergoing construction "

"Stayed three nights. Many things at resort and Girdwood (town) were not yet open. The tram to top of mountain was closed as were many restaurants. The front desk supervisor, Hannah Antonucci, was extremely helpful in recommending area things to do and short day trips. Don't miss the surfers riding the Bore tide on Turnagain arm. Recommend start north of Girdwood (Bird point) and follow tide toward Girdwood such as MP 94.5. Tide runs about 15 mph so easy to get ahead of it. Make sure to bring bathing suit for Nordic spa. The Chair 5 restaurant is great and now offers reasonable breakfasts (still Alaska pricing)."
