"Well first off when I checked in and went to the room with my family (with a newborn) it had a faint smell of cigarette smoke. Assuming it was just due to the room being somewhat close to the smoking area and the window was open that was to explain it. So we closed the window fell asleep the next morning we went off to explore Anchorage. When we came back the room reeked of that same scent but it was extremely stronger.. "While hotel looks old, it is well maintained and clean. It has typical Alaskan feel to it. Walls thin, but there was no one running or yelling down halls. 5 seasons it was not, but a perfect place to spend the night after a day exploring Valdez. We had to reinstall a window screen in room with help from nearby folks living nearby. Community helping folks in need. Love the city!"

"Check in was extremely slow. Each group ahead of us took 15 minutes each.
We only booked this hotel due to it having a kitchen. The pictures include a 2 burner induction stove top. The room had cabinets and draws but not 1 utensil, pot, pan, plate, bowl or anything to cook or eat with. Was told but the front desk that this is because they have no way to sanitize. The listing for the hotel is very misleading. My 1 night stay should be refunded."

"Clean room and friendly staff. Laundry room was nice. Kitchen was just enough. Wish there had been paper towels in the room as well as a dish cloth."
