We were a bit sceptical about Hurghada after reading some bad reviews and people’s scaremongering, but we had the best experience which exceeded our expectations. From the food, to the facilities, pool and staff. Everything was 10/10. Would definitely return and recommend JAZ!!"

"We had a truly beautiful stay at Amarina Abu Soma Hotel. The whole environment is extremely well looked after — the gardens are stunning, lush, and clearly maintained with a lot of care, which makes walking around the resort really relaxing. The service throughout our stay was excellent. The staff in the restaurants and bars were fantastic: always smiling, attentive, and genuinely eager to help. We would especially like to mention Ibrahim and Ahmed, who truly made our dining experience special. They were incredibly helpful with feeding our baby, who is 8 months old and needs special meals. They always made sure something fresh was prepared especially for her, without salt, sugar, or any additives, which made a huge difference to our stay and gave us real peace of mind as parents. We stayed here with our baby, and as it was our first holiday with a child, we were a bit nervous beforehand. Thankfully, everything turned out perfectly. The hotel is very family-friendly, and we felt well looked after at all times. Our room was spacious and comfortable — big enough for our travel cot — and very well maintained. We also really appreciated that our request for a quiet room was respected, which was essential for our baby to rest and relax without too much noise. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would absolutely recommend this hotel to others, especially families with young children. January is a perfect time to visit: the weather is beautiful and not too hot for babies. The "

Amazing reef access just a short walk from the hotel.The accomadation is great quality, the staff are all fantastically helpful and attentive and the food is outstanding. I was really well looked after for my special dietry requirements. Great facilities - sauna, gym, bar , pool , outdoor games, yoga, free suttle service. "

"Title: Appalling Experience – Unsafe, Unhygienic & Completely Misleading My stay at Kaktus Somabay was a disaster from the moment I checked in on November 27, 2025. The first room was covered in thick dust, to the extent that my new iPad cover became damaged within minutes. When I reported it, management responded with denial and disrespect, insisting it “did not happen here.” Their attitude alone was unacceptable. After being moved three times, every room had the same unhygienic dust problem. I developed allergic reactions, including itchy eyes and a sore throat. One of the rooms had a cracked mirror, which staff openly admitted they were already aware of—a major safety hazard that they simply ignored. Two bathroom doors didn’t even close. My entire first day was wasted dealing with room changes and staff negligence. Then the power cut three times, including once while I was showering, leaving me in total darkness and nearly causing an accident. Add to that a persistent smell of gas and paint, which made staying in the room unbearable. To make matters worse, the hotel is blatantly misrepresented online. The so-called “superior suite” was merely two connected rooms, the beach required a 10-minute drive, and the advertised pools and amenities were nothing like the photos—tiny, unusable, nonexistent in some cases. This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The property is unsafe, unclean, and falsely advertised.Strongly advise travellers to avoid this hotel"
