"We had a great stay at Mapache. The private room was spacious and clean. The staff were lovely and helpful. We also loved the daily activities and the small breakfast included was a bonus. Would recommend Mapache to anyone staying on Holbox. I've only just found out the Mapache means racoon though! "

"We spent 7 nights and for the price it’s a good place. Pros were the staff, cleanliness and the beach club was great. Cons were the beach was not great (much better beaches east of town), pools were kinda dirty because there were a lot of kids while we were there. During the day we visited other beach clubs that were more adult oriented to escape the screaming kids. We learned a lot on our first trip and will definitely spend a little more to have a better area and some nicer amenities"
