This is a dated facility, readily communicated as one drives into the lot, with furnishings and equipment to match. It was clean enough, however the overall impression was a bit tawdry due to age. There was amateurish calking in the bathroom, although effective, it was shabby in appearance. Recently painted, the bathroom doorknob was heavily masked with tape that no one bothered to remove. The 'ice machine' consisted of a small chest freezer with bagged ice poured into a plastic tray, dispensed with a scoop. The floors are wood laminate and clean. The bed frame (ours was a king) made a thunderous, booming sound every time it was nudged. I leave it to your imagination. There were few guests on a Friday evening, and it's doubtful that its survival will be long. I'm sure the male desk clerk wears many hats. I don't know that he's the handyman, however it wouldn't surprise me if he was. It's a safe, cheap place to stay - just don't expect many amenities. Nearby El Camino Restaurant up California St. is good if you like Mexican, however it serves other food as well. Good service and friendly servers.

I will stay somewhere else next time
I read the reviews and they seemed better than Super 8 but I wish I would have spent a few bucks more and stayed at a nicer place. You defiantly get what you pay for with this one. The room had a bit of an odor and the property was run down. The security lock was broken on my door and the shower was in bad condition. There was a really bright light just outside my room that the curtains did not completely block out and the sheets were itchy. Wifi also cut out from time to time.

I checked into this hotel after driving 14 hours and was looking forward to a nice hot shower. The "hot" water ran cold for over 30 minutes and finally ended up being lukewarm, certainly not over 75 or 80 degrees. So no hot shower after a long day. When I have long days on the road, all I really want are a hot shower, clean sheets, and a comfortable bed. No shower ruins my stay.

My only notes being that the restaurant has clearly been closed for some time and the pet fee is 15, not 10 dollars. My room was equal to that you would find in a reasonable chain hotel where you would probably pay more. Nice people, good stay, will come back for a stay when i hiking in the area again.

The owner was attempting to "refresh" this property with trendy gray exterior paint, but it remains an older motel with a parking lot in need of repaving. Unfortunately, there were few customers at the motel the 4 nights I was there. So being able to afford many major improvements is going to be difficult. On the plus side, the king room was typically furnished and there was daily maid service, so it was clean. It was priced about right compared to the newer, much more expensive chain motels in Socorro.

The room was clean and no clogs in the drains. The man at the front desk was very friendly. However, the property doesn’t have laundry for guests as claimed, I asked and was referred to a laundromat. Otherwise a nice stay.

Overpriced for a budget motel
The staff is friendly. The motel is overpriced for the condition of this hotel. I don't expect much from budget hotels, and I don't expect them to be perfectly clean either. I expect them to be old and dated and have stains on stuff. It's the "you get what you paid for". However, finding a clump of hair on the bedsheets was appalling for me.
Not happy to see a clump of hair on the sheets. The sheets smelled clean, so perhaps in the hotel's defense, it got trapped there in the wash. However, with that said, how would housekeeping not see that when changing sheets?
This hotel is located very close to shopping like Walmart

I should have paid $10 more and stay at the next cheapest motel. The lady at the counter was nice but the actual facilities were super outdated. I knew this place was cheap but this was a learning experience and i wont stay here again.

Super fast and friendly check-in. Older property, decent condition, but showing its age. Bed is really comfortable. Laminate and linoleum floors in our room work well for our dog. Linoleum is dated but clean.

Overall ok place to stay. Room was clean and everything worked. Appreciated the bottle opener mounted on the bathroom door jam and the tile floor. Better then carpet for sure. Shower was great too. Plenty of flow. The motel website needs to be updated. It advertised morning breakfast and lounge/ restaurant but wasn't really available. Overall, the staff was friendly and helpful. The outside appearance still needs work for sure. It met my basic needs.

This hotel was horrible. The first room we got had a strong chemical odor. We looked at two other rooms. One had fire ants in the bed. The shower was cracked and more water came out of the downspout than the shower head. There was never anyone in the office when we needed someone. We had to call to get someone to the office. The other guests were questionable. One was a gang banger with a wound of some type. The other was a druggie with a car with no doors. It was a very sketchy stay.

That place is falling apart and the roos are dirty and the darn heater in the room didn't even work so we froze our butts off and then the breakfast was a joke too..when we left I accidently forget a set of keys in the room on the bed so I called the front office to let them know and the guy that wandered was incredibly rude and had an attitude like I was disturbing him from being otherwise occupied... And so I will never return to that place again. I'm guess it's a true statement..." You get what you pay for"...

Just what I needed for a few day visit to Bosque del Apache NWR. Fast exit in the morning for sunrise blast off. Property is an old motel, but maintained and clean. Can walk to Bodega Bar and Burger and no need to worry about driving back if you have a couple drinks, and a one block walk to the beautiful San Miguel church if you need forgiveness.

The check in staff was wonderful and friendly. I think her name was Victoria. She recommended dinner options and told me about the museum at New Mexico Tech. That was great. I was not planning on a museum, but I am happy I went.
