"The property was great. Nice, clean, great location to use as a base if on foot - very close to Salamanca, the harbour and the shops. The small gym was great and our room was a good size. We upgraded to a superior city view room which was on the 4th floor so the view was a bit limited, I can’t imagine what some of the rooms without a window would be like. "The accommodation we stayed in were converted stables. The rooms were well appointed, recently decorated and warm (we stayed in winter). The accommodation is annexed to the hotel. The hotel is the epitome of a country pub with traditional pub fair, eight ball and friendly locals in their seats at the bar. Not a refined experience but everything we were after, we were comfortable, fed well and welcomed."
