"Staff was great. The hotel had the vibe of going back in time which was cool. The property is older and in need of some updating. Our sink and tub didn’t drain properly and some persistent sewer odor was bothersome. The economy room was very small for two people to maneuver in. Breakfast was ample. The location was great—a bit away from tourist areas which was nice."

"We stayed in a mansion suite which was amazing. The room was very spacious and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There was a delicious welcome box of Belgian chocolates waiting for us upon arrival. The buffet breakfast was incredible with options for every type of diet and a beautiful dining room. The spa was a lovely way to end the day. The location was ideal, quiet yet walkable distance to everything. I highly recommend this hotel for couples. It may be a little less appealing...

"Property is in great location 10-15 walk from main areas on a canal. It's a great walk into town to see some neighborhoods you otherwise wouldn't. The breakfast was great, staff very helpful and attentive. Room was by far the largest we had on entire Belgian/Netherlands trip. Highly recommend this property."

"This was our second stay and we once again enjoyed every minute of it. Staff were all very helpful and friendly, breakfast was plentiful with lots of variety and the room was lovely and clean. We liked the room with the shower more than the room with bath we had last time, so we will be asking for it again when we visit next. The location of this hotel is great too. We didn’t use the on site car park as the EV charging spaces were already booked but we used the nearby public car park for half...

"Rooms are unique and decorated beautifully. Nice, crisp sheets. Great bathroom toiletries. WATER IN THE ROOM IS SO APPRECIATED - two bottles to carry around, plus a glass bottle each of still and sparkling. Location is wonderfully convenient - a few minutes walk to the square, but just a little bit removed so you don't hear noise all night.
Stay away from restaurants around the square unless its for a drink. Food quality is kind of average."

"We arrived at 14:40 and were not allowed to do the check in, staff offered to keep the luggage, but we wanted to take a shower and leave, so we said we would wait there until 15. At 15 we had to go to a line of 16 people… at 15:20 the staff said the room was not ready.
Well… here there are 2 questions..
1. If they knew it would not be ready, why didnt they say?
2. If we pay for a room, shouldn’t it be ready in time?
