"Good but overpriced. While rated a 5 star something is lacking. The food is mediocre at best and they seem to be trying to appeal to “foodies” rather than relying on tried and true favorites. I am surprised this hotel made the Auberge collection. "

"They are having “renovations” done but I kept hearing the elevator rattling or make this tapping sound which interrupted my sleep. It was so bad the first night as we were right next to the elevator and had to let front desk know. They ended up moving us a few doors down but the rattling was still there. i’m a light sleeper so this was not fun. Place was close to a lot of restaurants. I don’t think I would stay here again. Elevator was so noisy. "

"The garage conversion to a casita is pretty good, the reason we are rating it average is the lack of privacy. The blinds, if you can call them that, offer no privacy. There are no curtains or any other type of blind to close. You are able to see into theentite sleeping/living area from the street. This also means any lights in the main house illuminate the casita. Simply adding blackout blind or a simple curtain within the boho theme would work. This really is a significant issue as it feels...

"We had such a wonderful night at the Frances Modern Inn. Their room 15 is a gorgeous two story suite with a perfectly curated apartment feel, just with all of the amenities of a five star hotel. The staff went out of their way to help us with parking and even left birthday cupcakes for my husband. There is a beautiful patio and courtyard to hang out in before even arriving in the suite. "no USB-c charging ports in room. this is ridiculous in 2026/ But your desk clerk actually went out, bought and delivered to my room a charging cable. Refused payment!!! So until you renovate to add modern charging infrastructure, why don't you keep some correct cables at the desk. Charge guests a deposit of $10, refund on departure/return?"

"Small but beautiful rooms. The view of the capital is spectacular. The staff is an absolute delight. Mini fridge, hair dryer and clothes steamer available in room. Coffee, water and in-shower essentials are part of the amenities offered. Not a ton of closet space but functional for a short trip. Room is very clean. The only issue I had was with the bed. Unfortunately, it dipped down at the head. We slept at the foot instead. Be aware that the parking is expensive, we paid almost $150 for parking...

"Location is great. Having the check in desk next to the very loud bar area is frustrating. Really hard to hear and have a conversation. Rooms are fine. We booked and paid extra for a city view and got a room looking straight into a bunch of other rooms and a little city on the side. "
