"The hotel was amazing. Loved the original bldg. was left alone..so historical. Cozy well kept rooms. Walls a bit thin but wouldnt stop me from going back. The bar/pool room was a great added addition. Breakfast was also offered with bagels, toasts, fresh fruit cups, oatmeal/cereals,cured meats & cheeses, as well as oj and coffee. Great location..we walked everywhere! Always felt safe absolutely no issues at all"

"Room was not clean, sheets looked dirty. Booked this one because it has a pool. Problem was they had swim lessons for kids in the community from check in to 7pm! Staff was rude. The door to outside did not lock correctly."

"Only stayed for one night for a comedy show. Was walking distance to everything downtown. Place was really nice, clean, and modern. Plan on coming back to visit Poursmith again and will most likely go back to the AC. "

"The staff were wonderful: they cheerfully accommodated our wish to access our room early. Everyone was kind and helpful. The rooms were spotless, the bed extremely comfortable. The location is perfect: the Thaxter is in the heart of the old port city and you are surrounded by beautiful historic buildings, good restaurants and interesting shops. We will gladly stay there again."
