"A really friendly place to stay."

"All the staff we interacted with were brilliant. Front desk, bar and restaurant, and the spa. Could not have been friendlier, or more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. But Zara on front desk was exceptional. She made us so welcome, and on discovering details about our reservation were not on their record, organised a card and gifts to make our celebration that much more special. The grounds and spa are great. Our room was excellent. "

"Staff were very friendly and the room wasvery clean. Sofa bed was a double so bonus. Close to shops which we didn't discover on our last visit! Very convenient for Stansted airport and going to football the next day as a stop over."

"A very peaceful hotel with local shops and restaurants nearby. Sue helped with check in over the phone and was a pleasure. Great for a shower, head down and a good nights sleep at sensible prices."

"Room definitely needs upgrading , it did smell bit of wee , the light in bathroom was broken, light on wall was hanging off , I said excellent as the facilities was excellent, sauna , jacuzzi, gym , food was amazing, staff are excellent, but hotel definitely needs a refresher, paint work awlful, carpet terrible, but very nice bed 👍"

"The room was lovely, nice and big and well decorated. Lovely bathroom too. The pub was great, we only had a couple of drinks and breakfast but no complaints. The only small thing is we only had one bath towel in our room, we intended on running downstairs to ask for another one but ran out of time before we head to head out. "

"Lovely area - Harlow Park. The property has a beautiful well- kept garden. The owner and staff were friendly and helpful, the atmosphere in the house was homely. Food and drink available to buy and prepare on site in the well- eqipped kitchen. Books and board games galore. "

"The bed was broken (sunk in the middle of the bed) tv lost service every 5 minutes, there’s no1 to talk to, the place was a complete shambles. The only good thing was the room was clean. "

The bed was comfortable and the room was clean It would have been nice to have a fridge and a safe in the room to store my passport and valuables It would have been nice to have an iron and drawers to put things into. I stayed for 5 nights so all the above would have made the stay a better experience"
