"Very welcoming host, the room had an amazing veiw. Very clean, good variety of tea, coffee and a hot chocolate. The bottle of water in the fridge was a godsend when I got back after a long day. Breakfast was very tasty, full english with a glass of fruit juice and a pot of tea( or coffee). It was so helpful being able to drop my bag off before check in... Which when I arrived I was able to check in early. Also I could leave my bag there when I checked out, meaning I didn't have to lug it around...

"Furniture and fittings very antiquated. Bedding very old and worn, bed linen did not look clean and fresh. Bathroom shower looks as if mould growing around base, not hot water to the basin, towels very worn and ruff. Breakfast very poor, left on landing to help yourself, cereal and fruit only not worth the payment charged. Parking not easy and very limited particularly for the larger car. Expedia stated only one room left that clearly was not the situation. Definitely not value for money."

"Brilliant location. Everything was in walking distance and the black information folder was invaluable. Whilst contact with Emma and Dave was through E- mails, ultimately there wasn't a problem because we didn't encounter any. Finally myself and wife found it to be excellent value for money."

"Bed too small, uncomfortable and pillows unsupportive. No proper curtain so privacy an issue. Tv was tiny and a brand I’d never heard of. There was a splattered dead fly on the pillow case. "

"Top floor room which was adequate for our one night stay to see a band locally. The adjoining Pub was excellent. Our only gripe was there was no hot water at 9 am despite running taps for several minutes. "

"Convenient to town centre and harbour although up hill as it’s on West Cliff. Great sea views and clean area. Extensive choice for breakfast both cold and hot food."

"Room was comfortable but a little cramped for two people . Tea /coffee making was available but didn’t use , shower was very good with plenty of hot water. Clean and soft towels.Breakfast was excellent and Tamsin the host was very friendly. We’ve been before and will definitely go again. Just a 10 minute stroll to the front with shops and bars . "
