"Close to airport. Poor communication on how to access the property. I reserved a two bedroom unit as I did not want to share a bedroom with my elderly parents who get up to use the bathroom all night long. When we arrived, there were two beds in the main bedroom and a second bedroom with absolutely nothing in it. "Beautiful landscaped grounds, made if feel like you were in a jungle resort. All kinds of creatures with howler monkeys in trees just off out balcony the highlight. Great breakfast and the staff were amazing. Great pool as well. 1 block from the beautiful beach with great walking along the ocean to Playa del Coco."

"Eric was very friendly and helpful. The pool area was immaculately clean. The unit itself was very clean and high tech, with a great AC unit. The walk to the beautiful beach takes 3 minutes, but there's a ditch crossing along the way that might be difficult to navigate for those with mobility issues."

"We stayed in a second floor master suite, which was very spacious and had a great view of the salt water pool area and the beach from a large balcony. It was kept very clean. The food was excellent - lots of variety and consistently delicious. There was a different theme at each evening meal. The water in the pools was warm and inviting. We found the constant music at the pool area distracting and a bit tiresome."

"The pool at Borinquen is surrounded by trees and is set kind of in a valley and in the afternoons between 3-5 you could start to see the branches moving on the trees and all of a sudden, you would start to see monkeys swinging from branch to branch. Mama monkeys carrying their baby monkeys, monkeys "fighting", eating, just going about their day. It was absolutely amazing. That was when the spider monkeys came out. If the howler monkeys were there you would hear them coming up the valley around...

"We booked here after our flight home got cancelled for a day. It suited us well for the evening, however, I wouldn’t necessarily want to stay there for a week unless you got a suite with kitchen etc. The pools looked amazing. (We didn’t use them). The breakfast was good. Please keep in mind we were exhausted and frustrated from a long day at the airport and we didn’t arrive to this place until later in the evening. We didn’t get to experience it much."

"This hotel was very unique and we are so glad that we opted for the oceanfront room. It was quiet (aside from the kids at the pool) and we saw monkeys, birds and iguanas right on the property. Would definitely stay here again. "

"This place is rather dated and needs updates and repairs. Broken kitchen drawer, toilet runs on after every flush, mickey-mouse shower set up, we were obligated to clean pool every day if we wanted to use it, wifi faded in and out, and it generally felt like 'economy' lodging. A bit disappointing. Location is a short walk to beach, which we really liked."
