This is definitely a two star hotel, and the room smells exactly like you would expect a two star hotel to smell. The room I was in was 204. I was right next to the custodial room, and overlooked a parking lot. Like another reviewer said there’s no actual carpet in the room. The shower was tiny. I was taking a walk along the beach right by the hotel early in the morning about 9 AM and the sheriffs department was putting a homeless man in a body bag. Needless to say I don’t love Santa Barbara.

We checked in for 1 night. Mentioned the check-in on Yelp which was supposed to give a feee room upgrade. At checkin they said oh I’m starting to hear that a lot now but that isn’t available. We were put in a room (102) in the far corner down a hallway when they had plenty of rooms available that weren’t in such a bad spot. The housekeepers closet was right next to our room which woke us talking loudly right outside of our door at 7am!

The property is old and rundown sometimes little to no water pressure. at $450 a night this is not worth the price. it is in a great location. I will never stay here again.

It's a block-long collection of old hotels along Cabrillo Blvd, all brought under one management. It successfully preserves the lovely vibe of the Santa Barbara waterfront and is a walkable distance from the Funk Zone. What it lacks in modern amenities, it makes up with location and vintage charm.

Place was nice and walking distance to everywhere. We got the room 125 which was right next to the entrance / valet and it was pretty loud early in the mornings and when everyone would come back at night. The only perk was that the two beds were in two separate rooms instead of beside each other. But if you want your blinds open everyone will be right outside the window. Would stay again but ask for a different room.

I thought the hotel was nice. The rooms were small but clean and the bed was comfortable. The one thing I did not like was the $32/day parking fee. That is an awful lot of money just to park. When you are a guest, parking should be complimentary.

Ok so I was not impressed by the place ! Yes the location is nice its right infront of ocean. But we got a lil room tucked away in the back corner . For the price I pay I was expecting a better room with a better view !! And the the other issue was the parking . They should have self serve parking for costumers !! Come on valet parking for everyone?!.you should have a choice . I will definitely check out other places next time.

I was at five hotels down the coast of California and this was my least favorite. Although the staff is very nice the room they gave me was tiny and the bathroom shower was like a narrow tube you could barely get into. Desperately needed upgrading and an old armoire right in front of the only window. Thank goodness they had one other room which was Slightly better and the manager was very nice about moving me just a couple rooms over. There is not a whole lot to do in Santa Barbara but they did have a pier right across the street to stroll around and some good restaurants nearby. I didn’t know that it was $35 a day for valet parking even though they have a parking lot that could fit all the cars right on the property but I have to say the valets were extremely nice and very helpful telling me how to get around and bring my suitcase upstairs. I’m guessing some other rooms were nicer But at $300 a night my room definitely didn’t seem worth it.

There was a sewage unclogging truck that turned on the pump for more than 30 minutes with a terrible noise. It was a terrible awakening and I couldn't sleep anymore. It was the mistake of booking two days when I needed a single day, but I already canceled and asked for a refund.

Rooms smell fresh and clean, Grounds are clean. Views of the ocean, many options of outdoor patio seating with heaters. Staff very helpful and polite. Free bicycles and beach chairs to use for guests. We throughly enjoyed our stay.

I stayed for one night with my husband and two little ones. The property was beautiful and clean. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Our room door opened to a beachfront view and took less than 5 minutes to walk to the beach and pier. A bunch of restaurants were within walking distance from the hotel which was super convenient. The only downside was there were no nearby convenient stores but the front lobby made up for it as they had a 24 hour concession area that served snacks beverages alcohol and toiletries. Parking is also a little limited but the hotel offered valet parking for a very reasonable price and the valet guys were super nice and handled with our vehicle with care. Overall we loved the experience, we loved the hotel, we loved the beach. I highly recommend!

It was OK. Great staff. Very tight bathrooms and shower. AC worked intermittently even though they came out to fix it. Great grounds.

This hotel is terrific! The staff were extremely friendly and made check-in quite easy. The lobby is adorable with a seating area and several items to purchase with food, wine, clothing. There are several fire pit areas that we used and loved. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Hotel Milo is a fantastic and affordable option for your next stay. We thoroughly enjoyed staying here, but only rate 4 stars because there was a knocking noise that carried on throughout the night that kept us up.
