Cheaper airport option

The hotel is within walking distance of DMK but a little quirky. There are dining options nearby.

We stayed at Johnson Villa and the View from that villa was supernice, the kitchen utensil provided were good and almost everything was perfect. But they should improve in terms of hanging place for clothes and towel. At the same time, 3 of the dining chairs should be replaced since it easily broken and may be dangerous to the customers.

Overall stay was ok and whole family had a great time. They had bbq pit so it was convenient for us to bring along fresh seafood for our bbq. Staff were very friendly. Bedding were comfortable. We lived in the villa which were spacious overall - all three rooms were spacious attached with own toilets. Rooms lack tables or even clothes rack. It would have been good to have somewhere to hang clothes or towels. Road is steep and Very limited space car park area. Villa could be updated. Surrounding area like the gardens and common areas could be better maintained and clean. Overall there’s potential for upgrades.

Great place to stay 200m from KK park enyrance. Nice big room with balcony. 200m from great testaurant opposite park and snall shop. Staff helpful. Nowhere to eat on site. Lovely location but very steep hill going down to property so not suutable for those with mobility issues. Great for families.

Nice staff! Close to the national park. No Windows in our room. Everything was wet and moist. Toilet in a closet. Bugs came in though the floor that had holes between floorboards

In the middle of nature so quite relaxing. The access isn’t convenient as there is a big slope to access the residence. Quite hard to bring your suitcase up and down.

Cosy, simple & budget stay.

The staffs were helpful whenever we have requests. Though a downside of this stay is still the entrance which leads towards the rooms, is rather steep.

We stayed in Kundasang for 3 weeks in Nov 2018 and have stayed in different hotels such as Nabalu Lodge, JResidence, Dream World Resort, Pine Resort and Hounon Ridge at Bundu Tuhan. JResidence is most the cold among all, temperature dropped to 14 c at night during rainy day. We stayed in Room 1B, the toilet and bathroom is super clean and there room make up service everyday .

Maintance out..cats and dogs roaming feel uncomfy and unhygenic.The Heater not works at all and kitchen smell like terrible.Bathroom locks not working..im not recommed anywan to stay at J residence..OUT !!!

値段以上にきれいで快適でした

室内はきれいで２部屋ずつくらいの独立した棟になっている。 犬や猫が館内にたくさんいるので、苦手な人は注意すること。 受付の女性はとても親切だった。ただ、受付があいている時間が短く、am7からpm8まで。wifiはあるが使えなかった。一応ホットシャワーがあるが、お湯は出てこなかった。家族連れでキャンプ感覚で使うには、とてもおすすめ。また、人気なので予約はしたほうがよい。

Everything was nice except for the noise. It is not sound proof, even the footsteps could be heard. Not forgetting the cats that will come to you asking for food, even dare to enter our room. But yes, surely recommend this J Residence to others too!

Convenient base for Mt Kinabalu

Fairly basic but comfortable room about 300m from the entrance to Kinabalu Park HQ. We stayed there the night before starting our trek up the mountain. Reasonable value for money.

Comfortable villa but can be improved

Apart from the flooded kitchen, it was quite an enjoyable and comfortable stay. The garden needed care. Insufficient parking spaces and steep hill.

If you are climbing Mt. Kinabalu, it is the best choice for you. Aside from it's cheap, it's only walking distance to Kinabalu Park.
