"You have to go to a restaurant to check in and how are you supposed to know this. The ice machine was out of ice when we left. The room could have had a microwave. The room was nice size and very clean. Plenty of food options nearby. Good location. Parking is at the local city parking lot which is $20 a day or hourly if you go in and out. "The kitchenette was well equipped. Could have used some dish detergent and some more towels for hand washing dishes. Bed and pillows very comfortable. The sofa bed was uncomfortable. The temperature controls and cooling system worked very well and quietly. Check in and communicate very easy. The room needs more hooks and towel bars. No where to dry out wet bathing suits and beach towels. Room was larger than expected. WiFi excellent. "

"The Upsun hotel was a decent stay, however there could have been a lot more effort put into this hotel to make it enjoyable for guests. A few notable examples would be repairing the showers as they tend to leak and leave a mess on the floor. The fridge was also broken and not cold. The floors were not swapped in the rooms, and the stationary items such as the ice bucket and coffee maker were not cleaned. The phone was broken and there was very minimal WiFi connection. "Expedia canceled our reservation without our permission and we arrived at a hotel very late with no reservation and then proceeded to have problem after problem with Expedia customer service trying to reestablish the reservation that we had already paid for Expedia also kept payment for the night st the hotel that we were unable to stay in due to an extreme weather event in the northeast which canceled our flight and we had no ability to get there. "Good basic room but very very loud throughout the night. Bar on the ground floor always with a noisy crowd and rooms have no sound insulation so you can hear it loud and clear all night "

"The property itself is charming. The location is in the middle of great restaurants. The rooms are SMALL. The rooftop pool is nice as well, but we only went up to check it out and had a shot at the bar. We did have a few mishaps. Our shower was out of soap and we didn’t know until we were in the shower.
