"The hotel is good value for money, the room we got was quite large and comfortable but very basic. The bed was comfortable, bathroom was clean, large, functional but dated, the room lacked sockets for charging. Breakfast was included in the price which really was a bonus. Unfortunately the area around the hotel, though not unsafe, had a few homeless people and guys drinking and just hanging out. "We loved this hotel. It’s a high rise from around 1995, but built in a much earlier style, with lovely wide staircases, traditional sculpture and plenty of comfortable public areas to sit and listen to the piano player at dinner time! The room was comfortable, traditionally furnished, with a nice wood floor and the bathroom had plenty of ‘marble’. Excellent service. "

Even though we asked for a non smoking room, we were in a smoking room the first night. My wife is very allergic to cigarette smoke, so not a good 1st night. "All rooms are internal rooms. No real windows. Walls very thin. Running water in pipes loud. Roma well decorated. After my stay, I left my luggage in the storage area, and when I came back in the afternoon to collect it, the hotel was “closed.” I missed my onward flight. The manager/owner did help get my luggage back and offered me a free night’s stay, but it was too late. I’ve never seen a hotel that was “closed” before. Read the other reviews before booking. I do not recommend it."
