Great place to stay. The rooms are clean, the staff is friendly, and the breakfast is delicious. The cruise terminal is conveniently located just four minutes from the hotel. One small suggestion would be for all front desk staff to have at least a basic level of English, as some communication with the reception team requires the use of a translator. Overall, a 10 out of 10 experience.

Awesome Hotel.

This Hotel was great. Very clean, excellent staff and service. The only drawback was only one restaurant with limited hours and no shopping within walking distance.

The property was nice and the restaurant next door was very good as well. It was convenient for us as we arrived a day early for our cruise and the terminal is across the street. Be very careful walking around this area. It gets dangerous quickly.

It is an amazing property directly across the street from the cruise port. Once they finish repairs to the port, it will be even better ( at the time of writing this the check-in area at the port is temporarily closed and you need to go to the nearby convention centre to check in to your cruise). The pool is amazing, the outdoor pool is great for laps swimming and the indoor pool is actually a hot tub that is the size or larger than many hotels main pools.

Only managed to spend 3hrs due to a delayed flight and rescheduled flight out. However, we chose Almarena Puerto Retiro Affiliated by Melia due to it's proximity to AEP airport, which was just 15-20mins drive away. The hotel is essentially serviced apartments - the room was clean and extremely spacious with a kitchenette, large king size bed etc. Didn't get to look at the other facilities, but on first impressions, would be happy to book this away.

Villa 31 - Do some research

The property itself is a luxurious building, and the staff at the entrance were exceptionally kind and welcoming. However, there were some drawbacks to my stay. The air conditioning was not functioning, which affected the overall comfort. Additionally, the location posed some challenges. Being adjacent to Villa 31 creates an environment that isn’t ideal for leisurely strolls or exploring the area on foot. As a tourist, I value the convenience of being able to walk, bike, or access public transportation safely, but this property requires taking an Uber to reach most parts of the city. This lack of accessibility made the experience feel less immersive and tourist-friendly. While the apartment is luxurious compared to other options, I don’t feel it fully justifies the stay, as it doesn’t provide the flexibility or experience one might expect when visiting a new city.

Hotel doesn’t have an entry way or place for taxis to park. We had to cross the street during pouring road to get to our cab, while carrying heavy luggage. It is unbelievable a Melia affiliated hotel doesn’t have a designated loading space.

Too far out

The flat was ok and spacious but there is almost no bedding and it was freezing. No coffee machine either...their reply was this is only for the 'more exoensive flats'. Seriously? We wanted to walk there late at night but then realised how far it was and the fact that it wasnt safe on the way, as quite a dodgy guy started following us. Only convenient if you have a car....
